The tertiary sector and services must learn to coexist with people. It is not so much a question of ethics as of survival. As long as industrial activities are located near urban centers, we will enjoy this coexistence as productive.

People need a place to work, factories need operators, access and services.

Fortunately, more and more industrial production controls its effluents, pollution is reduced and entrepreneurs are aware of their social role and encourage the integration of their huge facilities in the inhabited environment... beyond the big cities, between the horizon and the small urban centers, where they live, always at the pace of the car, scenes of factories mixed with the countryside as a background of a first line conquered by the factory, the workshop, the trucks, the work... everything they do not see consented in the cities or towns. The industrial territory is mostly shaped by the dictatorship of oblivion and neglect.

In today's society, where the city spills in continuity over the territory, where the landscape belongs to the time of continuous movement, of displacement, and where the car connects in such a short time the center with the countryside, it is important that this The area of the industrial landscape ceases to be in chaos and between the framing of architecture.

The new facilities must belong to that species generated by this awareness, which is integrated into the landscape in a contemporary and positive way, transmitting through architectural mechanisms, a message of coexistence.
